Burgers

I went for a walk at the Newport Flea Mall this morning and this sign caught my eye.  I've played with the photo in Photoshop, and done a variety of things to it (okay, I lost track of whatall I did...), including adding a vintage texture.

Here it is in sepia.

And this is the original photograph.

I took a fair number of photos, and didn't buy anything - a successful outing!

Sunday's Shot - The Color Green

Can you guess what this is? It's part of a green plastic purse that I photographed during my visit to the Newport Flea Mall. Loved the abstract look of it and the intense color.

Friday's Fotos - Original Photos

My photographic method is to take lots of pictures of whatever is around, and then turn them into useable images in Photoshop. I thought it would be fun to show the source photos I used for some of my images taken at the Flea Mall last weekend. The blue elephant above and
this red glassware came from the same photo:
Hey, Hey - I'm cute - take me home!!
This Old Irish Toast,

basket of shells,
and colorful jars all came from this photo:
Can you spot all of them?
The hurricane lamp and
these two similar images
were gleaned from this admittedly lousy photograph:
It feels a bit like working on a puzzle when I'm playing with the photos!
This clown on wheels,
Charley Weaver, and even these tools

all came from this photo:

And last but not least,

I found Shelton the Skelton sitting on a large band saw.
One really can do wonders with Photoshop!

Flea Market

Saturday I visited a local flea market with the idea of taking some pictures. It was open, but it's winter, few sellers were there, and many of the items I saw were covered with dirt and dust. I still took lots of pictures, but when I processed them in Photoshop, I decided to use the "poster edges" filter on all of them. Why? To me, it hid the dust!!
This bus caught my eye before I even went inside. Old and decrepit, but it was in one of the vendor parking spaces. Wonder if someone lives in it?

There were shelves and shelves of herbs and spices.

Some spikey high heeled shoes

I think you can still see the dust on this piece....

For Rent. Tenant must have feathers.

Guess this is a grinder.

These horses looked ready to gallop off the shelves.
A child-sized chair.
I look forward to the warmer months when this flea mall will be a hive of activity. I'll be back with my camera.
