Strange Sunsets

I call them "strange" sunsets because of what I did to them in Photoshop. These are "after" and "before" pictures, and all were taken in Greece. The first one is at the island of Simi.

At the island of Paros.

Chania, on the island of Crete. Guess I was getting tired of sunsets at this point because I went a little extreme in Photoshop....

Original. Again, these are from slides taken in 1987-1988. Earlier post with pictures from the Greek islands: here.

Girl With Pail

Saw this young lady at the beach the other day. She was hurrying to catch up with her mom and older sister.

Two other shots from that day.

Greek Islands

As a continuation to yesterday's post, here are more images I've developed in Photoshop from a selection of the slides we took in the Greek Islands.

This is the original photo that I used for the first image. Taken on the island of Astipalaia in August of 1987. I remember that because I celebrated my 40th birthday while we were there. Wasn't much of a town we walked to, but we did find an open eatery. They didn't even have a menu. I'm not the most adventurous eater, so I had eggplant. Ed ate the goat.

This was in Chania, on the island of Crete. Chania is a really beautiful harbor. We were anchored here for several days.

The original slide.

A beautiful yacht taken at the island of Kos.

You can see a minaret in the background of this original.

I loved the white architecture in Mikonos, and all the neat stairs and alleyways.

Original slide.

This was taken at the island of Milos.

We were motoring past Sifnos when I took this shot. We weren't sailing because it was perfectly calm, no wind, so we were putt-puttsing along.

The original. If you wonder how I'm so good at remembering all the names of the islands, the trick is that the slides are labeled. Good thing, because I wouldn't have a clue otherwise! See the black spots in the sky and water on this original? As I mentioned yesterday, I need to clean the glass scanner plate before I scan anymore slides....
